Good quality, delivery was slow

I purchased the Millennium Falcon 3D printing model. The model quality itself is excellent, very detailed, and the assembly instructions were clear. The cut and keyed STL files made it much easier for my FDM printer. My only minor gripe was that the download link took a few hours to show up in my account after payment. Not a huge deal for a digital product, but it was a bit of a wait. Still, good value for the detail provided.

Most of them aren't officially licensed, if that's what you mean. They're fan art basically, but super high quality and detailed.

Nah, they're not official licensed stuff usually. But they're really well done, often better than official ones for printing. It's more about the artist's interpretation.

how does gambody compare to cults3d or thingiverse for model quality? is it worth the higher price?

Gambody is definitely pricier but the quality is usually way higher. Less errors, more detailed, and often pre-cut for easier printing. Cults has good stuff too, but more variety in quality.

Night and day difference for me. Thingiverse is free but a total crapshoot on quality. Cults3D is better but still hit or miss. Gambody models are consistently top-notch and engineered for printing, which saves a lot of headaches.

Nope, pretty sure you can't sell physical prints. Their terms of service usually state it's for personal, non-commercial use only.

Definitely read their license terms. Most 3D model sites, including Gambody, don't allow you to sell prints of their designs. It's usually a no-go.

hey, was thinking of getting that huge AT-AT model but my ender 3 has a pretty small bed. do they cut up the models for smaller printers or will I have to do it myself?

Yeah, they usually cut them up. Most of the complex stuff is pre-cut into smaller, manageable pieces to fit standard print volumes. Saves a lot of hassle.

Yep, my Iron Man files were all pre-cut for my Ender 3. Just gotta glue them together after printing. They even label them so you know which piece is which.

FDM can be really good, especially for larger models. I printed the Millennium Falcon on my FDM and it turned out great. Just depends on your printer and settings.

For super tiny details or really small figurines, SLA is king. But for most of the larger characters and vehicles, FDM works perfectly fine. Gambody even optimizes them for both, so you get files specific to your printer type.
